Home-to-Home services are designed to provide pet owners and adopters with the information and
support they need to find one another easily, to arrange pet adoptions confidently and to help animals successfully move from home to home.
There is no fee to list or adopt a pet through Home-to-Home.
All pets offered for adoption through Home-to-Home must be offered free of charge.
Home-to-Home does not evaluate listed pets or prospective adopters.
Assessment of the character and suitability of an animal or adopter is the
responsibility of each pet's owner and adopter.

To List A Pet for Adoption:
Complete the pet profile on the Home-to-Home website, or contact
Home-to-Home at either 607-267-6897 or info@home-to-home.org
- Profiles completed through the website will be confirmed with a phone call or email within 24 hours.
- Upon confirmation, arrangements will be made to receive a picture of the pet
- Once Home-to-Home has confirmed the information provided in the pet profile
and received photographs of the pet, the information will be posted on the website
Next Steps: If a potential adopter is interested in your pet, they will complete an Adopter Profile
and submit it to Home-to-Home. Upon confirmation of an adopter profile, Home-to-Home
will contact the pet's owner and communicate the adopter's interest. After reviewing the adopter profile,
the pet owner can either accept or decline contact by the interested adopter.
Home-to-Home will then contact the adopter and either provide the pet owner's contact
information or communicate the owner's decision to decline further inquiry by the adopter.
If the pet owner agrees, the adopter may then contact the owner to discuss adoption and arrange a meeting.
Agreeing to meet does not constitute a commitment by either party to continue the adoption
process or to adopt the animal involved.

one another and proceeding to a successful adoption.
